Bang, Bang Goes the Haz-Safe Building
Just after the photo on the left was taken, the crane and its 10' wide x 50' long x 12' high hanging module became unbalanced! Suddenly, the module banged down hard with a riveting "thunk" with one corner hitting and bouncing back up, forcing the opposite corner to hit with another "thunk"! The crane rebounded back on its rear extensions. This banging sequence happened twice more, shaking up the foundation- and spectators- before the crane operator got control. The damage to the pad was minimal, but the marks on the concrete definitely exibited the pounding that took place at the outside corner of the module. The Haz-Safe module was not damaged.
The opposite corner inflicted a chipping away damage to the step of the user's concrete foundation. This corner is where sump floor tubes are cantilevered 4' out from under the door. The 45,000 lb.first module is in position. Second module is being lifted over the top of the user's 5' high concrete filled pipes. Anti vandal enclosure hides electric and fire systems. At the othe end, the installation crew is aligning the modular split at the 2-hour, 180 Ibs. blast rated double doors.
Patented aligning sleeves are inserted into the under-the-sump bolt-up tube of each module. Caulk is being applied at the joint for the patented roof cap, which shall seal the modular joint and the lifting lugs utilized as bolt-up flanges. Everything's been checked out; all systems have been tested and the paint touch-ups are complete before installation crew heads back to Sarver, PA.
